Jesus Torres, Assistant Director

Jesus Torres is a product of the Austin Independent School District and an alumnus of McCallum High School. Mr. Torres attended The University of Texas where he received a Bachelor of Music degree and a Certificate of Achievement in Trumpet Performance. While at The University, Mr. Torres performed in numerous ensembles including the Longhorn Band and the world renown University of Texas Wind Ensemble.  

Mr. Torres is in his third year at Anderson, where he conducts the Symphonic Band and assists with all other classes and ensembles.  

He maintains an active career as a trumpeter and as a conductor in central Texas. Mr. Torres' professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association and Kappa Kappa Psi.
