Mrs J'me Washburn, Dance Guard Instructor

Mrs. Washburn is a graduate of Bowie High School where she served as Captain of the Silver Stars.  She earned top honors as Miss Dance of Texas 2000 and performed on The Today Show.  She began her college years as a member of the world-famous Kilgore College Rangerettes 64th line.  While attending, she performed at such events as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Dallas Cowboys pre-game and half-time shows, the Cotton Bowl and the 2004 Inaugural Ball and Parade for President George W. Bush.  After Kilgore, Mrs. Washburn attended Texas State University and graduated earning her Bachelors of Science in Dance with a secondary teaching certification.  Her studio training includes tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, modern, contact improvisation, ballroom, hip-hop, theater and gymnastics from studios across Texas as well as New York City.  Mrs. Washburn has previously taught and choreographed for Kealing Middle School, Protocol School of East Texas, and Starmakers Dance and Performance Camps Inc.
