Private Lessons are the best opportunity for the band student to have one-on-one instruction on their instrument. The Anderson Band Staff highly encourages students to take private lessons for individual progress and skill advancement.

You may arrange with these or with other teachers. Payment is made directly to the Private Lesson Instructor. Some instructors teach in a private studio, others come to our school.

Individual Advancement is enhanced by taking advantage of Private Lessons and by participating in opportunities to audition for District/Region/Area/State Bands and Orchestras, as well as Jazz Bands. Individuals may also audition at Solo & Ensemble, qualified players may compete at Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest (TSSEC).

Music Camps are also a great way to improve your skills.

Dance Guard members are encouraged to participate in Spin Camps and other Dance and Guard camps to enhance their skills and to learn new skills. Offerings will be posted on the Dance Guard pages as we know about them. Please share!
