Congrats to the percussion section for a successful trip to Dripping Springs for the ‘Thunder in the Hills’ Percussion Competition.  They placed second in their division as well as a section award for the bass drums. Congrats to all percussion directors and students… we are very very proud!

  • Eligibility deadline for passing grades above 70 is THIS Friday!
  • Monday night rehearsal (even though you don’t have school) is 5pm-8pm
  • We will hand out band jamboree tickets after rehearsal under the band tower – two per family.  If you don’t want your tickets please leave them for other folks who will use them.
  • Fan Shirts!  Order deadline Wed Sept 26!  We have an awesome band parent coordinating some additional fan shirts available for purchase.  Information is at the bottom of this blast, and she is also going to offer a long sleeve version for $22 as well.  If you have any questions contact Christine McBride at
  • Tuesday night is AISD Band Jamboree!  Come see your Trojans at Burger Stadium!  Attire for students is full uniform, pizza will be provided to all students for dinner when they are released from classes.
  • This week no football game!  We will have rehearsals as usual to prepare for our Cap City performance on Saturday.  Schedules for Cap City, Jamboree, and BOA Waco have all gone out this week in blasts and can be referenced on the Band Blast section of the website.

Monday – Evening rehearsal for all band and guard 5pm-8pm 

Tuesday – Band Jamboree at Burger Center {For B Day students,  I will give you Tuesday class homework time; you may also bring homework to work on in the stands at Jamboree}

Wednesday – Rehearsal (Band 7:10am-8:40; Guard after school)

Thursday – Rehearsal (full group) 7:10am-8:40am

Friday – Rehearsal (full group) 7:10am-8:40am

FRIDAY – Eligibility deadline:  You must be passing all classes with a 70 or greater (60 or greater for select exempt courses) to be able to travel with the band for the remaining competition and game season.  If a student becomes ineligible they will still attend all rehearsals for the class grade but will not attend games or competitions.

We are placing an order for fan shirts! These shirts can be worn by students or parents! Here is what we are offering:

Long Sleeve Version $22 (Trojans down the sleeve)

Next Level Super soft men’s t shirt : $20

Next Level Super soft unisex (really a men’s but a more forgiving cut vs. the womens bella canvas) V- Neck t shirt: $20

Bella canvas women’s v neck t shirt: $20 (these tend to run a little small)
