Greetings!
Congratulations to our band students that participated in the musical pit orchestra this weekend and the select students that participated in the Austin ISD All-City Band! All-City Band students representing Anderson: Anisa Rajab, Jacob Dylla, Ashwin Shankar, Sam Johnson, Samantha McConnell, Grace Barr, Juan Alvarado, Ryan Licce. Another shout out to Viveca Holman, who was inadvertently left off the AREA student blast – Great work to all of our hard working and SUPER busy band kids!! We are super proud! Best wishes to the Winter Guard as they prepare for their first competition coming up at Canyon High School on February 4!
We are working on scheduling a BAND LOCK-IN! We are finalizing the date this week, but it is looking like Feb 24 is the day. Stay tuned, more info to come.

January 31 – Basketball Band plays at the GIRLS Basketball game!
February 2 – LATE START – sectionals and rehearsals start one hour later.
February 4 – Winter Guard Show at Canyon High School
Feb 15 – Chamber music masterclass in Wind Ensemble with UT Bassoon Professor Kristin Wolfe Jensen.
Feb 18 – SOLO and ENSEMBLE – All Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band students will participate!
