I wanted to send a personal invitation to your saxophone students to attend our Saxophone Academy Austin Summer Camp at Four Points Middle School this summer – from June 17 – 21. This is our fifth year of summer camp in Austin and as a special offer to your students, I want to extend a coupon for them to use if they decide to come along which will discount their tuition by $30. At registration, they will just need to type “Anderson2019” to use this discount.
We know you have excellent young saxophonists at Anderson, and we would love the chance to help support their growth and give them an additional outlet to make music this summer, and as colleagues of Ben and Djamel (3 of our 4 faculty perform in the Austin Saxophone Ensemble alongside Ben and Djamel), we know that the things we do at camp work exceptionally well alongside the work done by your private lesson staff.
We’re all spending some quality time this summer with the new all-state etude book and will be providing helpful tips and practice tricks for our high school students to assist them in navigating these new materials. We are expecting the majority of the TMEA etudes to be selected from this new book this year, and we want to help all of our campers get better acquainted with how to approach these when they are released in July!
Additionally, we offer electives in jazz improvisation (Led by Dan Bechdolt of Mingo Fishtrap), composition, saxophone history, active listening, theory, large and chamber ensembles and a whole range of saxophone-specific topics! We are thrilled to be able to give out some great prizes this year too – including reeds, neckstraps, key leaves, CD’s and loads of other swag.
