Tomorrow is our first full day for the band! We are thrilled…..Everyone in the Percussion and Guard have already put in a full week (FORTY HOURS of rehearsal last week!!) and leaders spent three days working to get trained and dig deep into our band program. Freshman came Friday to get their feet wet and now tomorrow we see EVERYONE!!!
- Bring Instrument (CONCERT AND MARCHING INSTRUMENTS NEEDED EVERY DAY), Water, Sunscreen, Hat, Sunglasses! Dress in Athletic shoes, athletic loose fitting shorts, and a WHITE T-SHIRT. Your student will be assigned a locker on Monday to keep their instruments.
- Plan on attending the Band Family PICNIC {Click here for info} tomorrow night!! It will be an information session from Ms. Gonzalez along with potluck dinner and then we will release the kids to go flamingo in teams for the evening.
- Sign up to help your student on a night of flamingo-ing at some point by driving for their section. I will send sign up links out later today!
We are very excited for tomorrow! I know if it’s your first time, it’s daunting….but the directors and leaders have TONS of great things planned for you. You will have tons of help and support along the way! We will see you Monday morning ready to go at 8am (Arrive a little earlier that 8) on the parking lot practice field!
