Parking
Parking is problematic at House Park.  There simply isn't enough and much of what is available in the area is shared with other nearby institutions.  The stadium was built before WWII for the old Austin High School campus (now the ACC Rio Grande campus).  House Park is Anderson's home stadium, so many of our games are played there.  Here are some tips and ideas on where to park in the vicinity of House Park...construction is constantly changing this...so be flexible, watch signs and arrive early!

  • You may be lucky enough to find parking in the Rec Center (red roof building in the photo below) parking lot adjacent to the stadium.  However, this parking lot is often reserved for Rec Center participants and there are police enforcing this policy.
  • There is a parking lot made from old tennis courts north of the Rec Center on the hill.  You must enter the north parking entrance from Lamar as shown on the photo below.  Parking in this lot is very limited and your post-game exit will be delayed by buses and other game related vehicles which typically park just north of the end zone.
  • If it is a Friday, you'll find the ACC faculty parking lot north of the ACC campus to be available.  Do not park here on Thursday nights because ACC does hold night classes on Thursdays and parking permits are enforced.
  • Another alternative is to park on the street east of stadium in the area around ACC and West of the Capitol building.  There is competition for parking with ACC students, so your chances are better with an early arrival.
  • If you park east of the stadium in either the ACC faculty parking lot or on the street, there is an easy way to reach the stadium.  There is a walkway and steps next to the gym on West Avenue (see aerial photo below) leading down to the Rec Center parking lot.  The Home ticket office is a small stone building on the corner of the stadium property at the entrance to the Rec Center parking lot
