BLUE DRAGON YARD CONCERT – Saturday AUGUST 24 at 9:30am!! ADDRESS is 12205 Antoinette Place, 78727. This is one of the more impromptu things we ever do in band….. Every year we have a major sponsor, Gil and Juliette Jimenez from Blue Dragon Plumbing, donate $8,000 in Flamingo-ing. As a gesture of thanks, at the end of Flamingo-ing we do a very short, fun and impromptu yard concert for them. We show up in shorts and our favorite Anderson T-Shirt and play stand tunes in their yard for 15 minutes. It’s a great way to give back and show gratitude for a major donor. We make it required to ensure we have a good showing – if you have issues that is fine, just submit this form to let directors have a heads up.
This week is our first week of school! We will have rehearsals as usual, including Monday, August 19 from 5-7:30pm. The rest of the week band rehearses Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning 7:10-8:40am. Please plan on arriving at school around 7am to ensure you have enough time to be organized and ready to go at 7:09am.
What Instruments to bring this week?
Wind Ensemble needs to bring both concert and marching instruments; Symphonic and Concert bring just marching instruments for this week.
