Marching Band
The Trojan Marching Band meets only in the fall. Students do not have to audition for the marching band but must participate in the Summer Band Camp program.
During the fall semester, the marching band rehearses daily from 7:30 am to 8:30am (zero-hour) and Monday afternoon from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Attendance at all football games, pep rallies, and contests is mandatory.
There are several parades throughout the school year and summer.
This is offered as a Zero-Hour class, so students will have eight classes on their schedule. Students must be concurrently enrolled in an Instrumental Ensemble class (a concert band) and receive Fine Arts credit, which also counts as a PE Waiver. All Dance Guard Members should enroll in Dance Guard Class during the school day.
The Marching Band at Anderson High School
consists of several student groups...
* Wind Players (flutes, clarinets, saxes, trumpets, horns, trombones, euphoniums and tubas),
* Percussion (battery and pit), and
* Dance Guard (flags, banners, rifles and choreography).
