Make plans to join in this annual tradition to kick off the marching band season! Meet other Anderson Band Parents, put names with faces of kids your child has been talking about, catch up with old band friends and meet new ones! (The entire family is welcome – including younger siblings!)

Who – All Band and Guard Parents and Band Students

What – Band Family Picnic – This is the best way to start the Marching Band Season!

Where – Anderson CAFETERIA

When – Monday, July 29th

Why – Because it takes everyone–parents and students–to make a great marching season!

How – Doors will open at 5:30, we will begin eating at 6 – Flamingo-ing should start by 6:30 or 7:00. You can drop off food starting at 4:30.

Bring dishes to share according to your child’s grade level (below are suggestions):

Freshman Main Dishes – · Pizzas – lots of different types – but cheese, sausage, and pepperoni are always popular! · Finger sandwiches, Tortilla roll ups, subs (cut into portions) · Fried Chicken, Chicken Nuggets – don’t forget the sauce!

Sophomores Main Dishes – · Fried Chicken, Chicken Nuggets – don’t forget the sauce! · Meatballs/Crescent Roll Sausage Bites · Taquitos/Samosas/Egg Rolls – anything creative is appreciated!

Juniors Sides Dishes – · Cold Salads – Homemade green, potato, fruit, chicken, and pasta are very popular! · Fruit/Veggie trays – the kids are healthy eaters! · Hot Sides – Macaroni and cheese etc. · If time is limited and you buy something, please go for fruit and veggie trays instead of store-bought salad tubs.

Seniors Dessert – · Cookies, Brownies, Rice Krispy Treats · Fruit cobblers, Pie and Cake · Homemade desserts are always the most favorite!

EVERYONE Bring drinks for yourself and to share

· Plates, utensils and napkins will be provided.

· Please plan on bringing a serving utensil if your dish requires it. The disposable varieties are great or bring your own with your name on it. THE BAND STUDENTS WILL BE STARVING AFTER A LONG DAY OF PRACTICE – PLEASE BRING A GENEROUS PORTION! If you can’t attend, please send food for your student to share with their friends!
