Anderson Bands earn SWEEPSTAKES at UIL Concert and Sight Reading!
Congratulations to our AWESOME bands for their performances at UIL Concert and Sight Reading evaluations the past two days! The Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble earned Sweepstakes (six straight ones) and the Concert Band earned Excellent ratings on stage and a 1 in sight reading. FANTASTIC job to all of our bands and what a great finish to their hard work on this music!
MULCH DELIVERY MOVED TO APRIL 13 DUE TO SATURDAY 100% STORM FORECAST
THIS WEEKEND we were scheduled to have our mulch delivery day….however….it is forecasted on every source for 100% chance of thunderstorms. We had to make a very quick call to be able to reschedule our truck and forklift rentals with no penalty so we made the decision to move mulch delivery to next Saturday. SO TOUGH because you never know – it could end up being beautiful on Saturday. That being said, know that our operation is moved to next Saturday, April 13. Additionally the mulch parent committee and I are working feverishly to try and get deliveries and rentals scheduled so that we can perhaps start delivering next Friday night (in case of rain again Saturday). We are at the mercy of the weather here……but please stay tuned and I am asking everyone in the band family to be alert to mulch help and if you can hop on board and help with our plan please be ready to do so. We are meeting first thing in the morning to re-formulate delivery for next weekend based on rental information today and I will blast out another update. We will need all hands on deck! We want to make sure we can deliver this product to our community with great service. Thank you in advance for bearing with us as we get ready to think fast with mulch delivery and the adversity of weather!!!!!!
Band and Guard LOCK IN moved from 4/12 to 5/3
On April 12, We had several kids testing on Saturday morning as well…..along with Jazz performing – therefore we are going to shift the lock in to May 3!!! This will allow all of our students to participate in the lock in and fun!
