Yes – there ARE some band students that just can’t get enough band and that’s AWESOME! If that’s your kid….or maybe you are looking for some fun band outlets other than our marching camp. There are a lot of AMAZING and FUN campus at various universities and some instrument specific camps in town. There is a little something of everything.
This is the time you want to start thinking of camps as these things tend to fill up fast! These are the ones on my radar….but I will try to send another camp email in a few months if new or different camps advertise.
Some of these may not be up to date for the coming year – but keep checking back!!! At least keep it on your radar!
I will try to see if some of the brass specific camps are happening again and post those as well. Those are not as consistent as the woodwind……
Clarinet and Sax Specific – Sax Pro and Clarinet Pro Workshops
Percussion – North Texas Percussion Camp (See Mr. Nedley)
FULL BAND CAMPS – CONCERT BAND SETTING (usually kids still get a daily masterclass on their instrument and lessons with a professor or graduate assistant on that instrument.) You can stay in the dorms and it’s a ton of fun to spend a week at band camp at a university!!!
