Greetings Trojan Band Family,
It’s been a great start to our full band week! The kids are looking and sounding great and we are very proud of the progress they are making. I know it’s hot and challenging but that first show is always huge payoff for their time. Thank you so much for supporting them in their musical endeavors and keep pushing!
FLAMINGOING! Please continue to help and support our flamingo efforts! We had a slow day on Monday because of shorter time, but they made up the difference last night. Our goal is 65,000 and as of right now we are just $200 under our daily goal of where we should be at this point to accomplish that. THAT’S GREAT!!! Keep up the good work! The important thing is to keep the momentum going and not get behind daily! WE CAN DO IT!!! If you are a freshman parent, please keep your kids going on their ‘flamingoing’ schedule set by their section leaders which puts them participating about every 3 days. It gets VERY difficult when freshmen do not participate and all of the upper classmen are forced to go out every night. If everyone does their fair share at the end of the two weeks we have accomplished our goal and it saves our older kids from total burnout.
Want to come to the football games with us – get a ride (YAY for not having to figure out the parking situation at House Park) and get in the games and competitions for free?!? Sign up to be a BUS CHAPERONE! You will ride to and from the games with us….during the games you go up and sit in the stands with the band parents and friends. You just ensure we get to and from the game safely. (You can ride your child’s bus or ride a different one) SIGN UP HERE to join in the fun!
MEALS FOR GAMES! On game days our catering committee provides a meal for those that have paid. It’s $7 per meal…our kids don’t have much time between the end of school and the time we leave for the game and this allows them to have a meal served to them. See the Catering post to sign your child up for meals! You must sign them up….game day meals do not happen automatically. If you don’t want to purchase meals that is fine!! Just make sure you send a meal with your child on game days.

Want to treat the band to a popsicle treat?! Sign up to bring freeze pops for them at noon after a long morning of marching – YOU WILL BE LOVED BY ALL!! All you need to do is bring frozen icepops in a cooler (230). They are cheap and come in a box of 80 for about $4. If you are interested in being a popsicle hero SIGN UP HERE.
REGISTRATION DAY is coming up this SATURDAY!! To help it flow – we ask that you come at the recommended time. You will want to bring health insurance info for the med forms and checkbook/cash/card for fair share payments. If you are concerned with fair share payments do not fear – Ms. Gonzalez will work out a plan for you. See you on Saturday….and while you are here drive a CAR for the FORD TEST DRIVE!!!!
