Happy Labor Day Weekend! There is NO rehearsal Monday night for guard or percussion, that rehearsal was moved to Tuesday so everyone could enjoy the 3 day weekend.
Rehearsal Schedule for this week:
Monday – OFF
Tuesday – Full Rehearsal 5-7pm (NO Pre-Drill am rehearsal)
Wednesday – Full Rehearsal 5-7pm
Thursday – LATE START; 2 hour rehearsal. 7:30am-9:30am
Friday – Full rehearsal 7:30-8:30am
Friday the Smithson Valley Game Schedule is as follows:
3:00 released from class, eat
3:40 Section Leader Inspection
3:50 Band Inspection
4:00/4:05 Loaded and Leave
6:30 arrive at Smithson Valley
Kickoff 7:30
Leave SV 11pm
Arrive back at Anderson 1am
OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- We have kicked off the optional ‘individual’ fundraiser of chocolate. We will be at it for 2 weeks – whatever is not fundraised at that point will be due for each student’s fair share account. Contact Ms. Gonzalez with questions. There are some great prizes and we already have several people going strong!
- Guard Pictures will take place September 11 during guard class. Make-up pictures will also happen during lunch on 9/11 for all band members that did not have a picture taken Aug 15.
- Fair Share Payment #3 ($200) is due Sept 18!
- From the Band Presidents: Joining the private Band Facebook is a great way to stay connected and watch the band videos from the week!This link should allow parents and students to join – or bring them to the Facebook page, which they can ask to join and we will accept their request.
