Important Info From the ABBA Board

Band Camp
This week, please note Band camp is 8am-4pm Mon thru Wed, and again on Friday, but in the evening from 5-8:30pm on Thursday.

Flamingo
Check with your students to determine which evenings they will be Flamingo-ing early this week and be aware every section will be out in a flock on Wednesday night.

Keep sharing their fundraising links and encourage them to keep reaching out to friends and family. Our band is going to be more dependent on donations than ever. Also, please have your students send Thank You notes to their donors. It’s an important part of the process for both the fundraiser and our kids’ growth.

Friday Funday
Friday is a full day of band camp, followed by a fun pool party at Jester Pool, followed by Midnight Madness, which is being held at Murchison this year because of our construction.

Your students, even the freshmen, should know their schedules and be communicating it with you. They should also be in touch with their leadership with questions.

Volunteer
Thank you to everyone who pitched in and helped out this week. It takes a village. Please check your schedule and look for opportunities to volunteer this week. Here are the links to the relevant signups. Click on the Flamingo Signups section for those opportunities.

It was fun getting to know your kids this week. Everyone seems happy and engaged. This week will be hotter so make sure they’re rested, hydrated, and ready to get stronger and better faster than they ever thought possible. 🙂
